Mansfield does not compensate it’s elected officials for their time, it is a volunteer job to serve.  But it does cost to campaign, to have this website, to put signs on roads, to advertise, etc.

Priorities and vision

George is focused on prioritizing our city spending in the city on CORE needs in our city. Taxes, safety, and infrastructure need to be excellent before luxury items.

Property Tax Relief

Mansfield has the 10th highest property tax rate in Tarrant County.  While a 2 cent rate reduction did occur last year and a 10% homestead we still remain in the top 25%.  We need to lower our taxes for our residents and our businesses.

Police & Fire

Our Police and Fire need funding as a priority.  Minutes count.  We should be strategically building new facilities prior to new areas being fully built out.

Safety in our city is paramount.

Infrastructure

Our roads, bridges, streets, sidewalks, sewer and drainage are a high priority especially around our schools.  Two lane farm roads and sometimes bridges with culverts lacking adequate sidewalks and crosswalks connecting nearby neighborhoods is a critical core priority.

Not many people actually VOTE in City/Municipal Elections

We need your vote.  So many people only vote in a presidential election, but this city election is important.  Did you know only about 8% of the people who voted in the past presidential election historically vote in a municipal election.

Grab your spouse, children old enough to vote, your neighbors, and friends.  Please go to early vote starting April 19th thru April 27th.  Or on election day May 1st.

Serving a Higher Cause

George is centered in his Christian beliefs.  George enjoys studying his bible on his back porch every morning and reading his devotionals.  His home is a Christian home and he is raising his children on Christian principles.

Sincerity and Conviction

George has no ulterior motives for running.  Items that come before Mansfield City Council for a vote will not bring him an financial or personal gain.  As a volunteer job (City Council and our Mayor do not get paid at all) his desire is to serve and give back bringing his education, experience, and leadership to our city.

Transparency

Less items behind closed door sessions.  While George respects the need for HR related issues for the city to occur behind closed doors.  Land and business deals need to be heard before the public where we can get their valuable input for consideration before a vote.  Respecting that some things must be done in closed session, it is time now for less of that to be occurring.

Our city needs more economic development revolving around salaried jobs.  We need to bring more class-A business buildings and campuses to Mansfield where we can live, work, and love here.  Bringing more economic development with these goals in minds helps:

Lowering Property Taxes 95%
Downtown Development & Revitalization 90%
Salaried Jobs, less hourly work 85%
Retail feeding Business Campuses 80%
Supply chain to surround major businesses (even more jobs) 75%

Some of George's Achievements

Education

George graduated from Texas Christian University in 1998 with an undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science.  He later went back again to TCU and graduated with his Executive MBA in 2007.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

George is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Professional and also a certified Lean Six Sigma Champion.  This is a certification that reflects his ability to cut waste, lean processes and costs, improve efficiency, and reduce defects.

Experienced Businessman

George started his managed IT business out of the back of his car in 1995, by 2017 it was one of the largest managed IT firms in Tarrant County when he successfully sold and exited the business.
